Pro bono attorney hours are a valuable resource. So why waste time on having attorneys draft routine documents from scratch? Document automation can free up attorney time to give advice, represent clients, and draft more demanding documents. This session will address how to build automated documents designed to help pro bono attorneys more efficiently assist clients in a clinic or office setting. Topics of discussion will include the types of documents that lend themselves to automation, how to triage client intake with legal expert interviews, the differences between automated interviews and documents aimed at attorneys vs. those aimed at pro se litigants, and the different automation platforms available.
